Brew U: Coffee Sock Cold Brew Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of coarsely ground coffee (Lancaster County Coffee Roasters' Cold Brew Blend recommended)
  • 3 cups of cold water (bottled or filtered for best results)

Equipment:

  • Reusable coffee sock
  • Large pitcher

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Coffee
    Coarsely grind 2 ounces of coffee. Lancaster County Coffee Roasters’ Cold Brew Blend is ideal, but any of their coffees can be used for this method.
  2. Fill the Coffee Sock
    Add the ground coffee to the reusable coffee sock.
  3. Combine Coffee and Water
    Place the coffee sock filled with grounds into a large pitcher. Pour in 3 cups of cold water, ensuring all the grounds are fully saturated.
  4. Stir and Steep
    Gently stir the water to combine. Let the mixture steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
