On those hot summer days when the sun is relentless and the air feels heavy, there's nothing more satisfying than a chilled drink to cool you down and lift your spirits. For coffee lovers, iced beverages strike the perfect balance between refreshment and indulgence, and this recipe is no exception. Inspired by Lancaster County Coffee's seasonal Cherry Pie cold brew, this treat combines the bold, fruity notes of coffee with a creamy chocolate twist to create the ultimate summer pick-me-up. Whether you're lounging on the porch, hosting a backyard gathering, or just craving a moment of peace in the heat, this coffee creation is sure to hit the spot. Our Cherry Pie coffee is available each year from June 1 through August 31.
Directions:
- Prepare the Chocolate Foam:
- In a small bowl or container, combine 4 tablespoons of chocolate sauce with the half and half. Stir until the chocolate sauce is fully dissolved.
- Use your preferred frothing method (handheld frother, electric milk frother, or manual whisk) to froth the mixture until it becomes light and airy, creating a thick chocolate foam. Set aside.
- Pour the Coffee:
- Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of Cherry Pie cold-brewed coffee. Adjust the amount based on your preference for coffee strength.
- Top with Chocolate Foam:
- Gently spoon the chocolate foam over the coffee until it forms a smooth, luscious layer on top.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer. Take a moment to appreciate the contrast between the rich coffee base and the creamy, chocolatey topping.
Optional: Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for an extra touch.
