Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

$13.99

Our Ethiopian selection usually shifts back-and-forth between a Sidamo and Yirgacheffe, depending on season and availability. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a bright, medium- to light-bodied coffee with winy, berry undertones, distinct floral tones in the aroma, an intense and complex flavor that is clean and flowery, and a vibrant finish. Due to its delicate but distinctive flavor notes, we find this coffee to be exceptional as a very light roast.

Love their freshness

I use a French Press. I use the same cup to measure the water. I use a TBL of corse ground Sumatra, Red Rose Expresso and Columbian for every cup. I rotate 2 corse ground TBLs of either Kenya, Brazil or Ecuador and pour in the water, stir until I get the perfect froth and let it sit for 4 minutes. I do this twice in the morning and get a simply wonderful full flavored cup of JOE that is a little different every time. I can only do this with fresh grinds. And Lancaster County Coffee delivers and gives me this opportunity to have a great cup of coffee twice a day.

Wow!

I have long associated Old World coffees with darker roasts and New World coffee with lighter roasts. This is a game changer for me! This light roasted coffee is pure delight. It is described above as being "floral", and that hits it dead-on. It is also bright and spicy with some sweet fruitiness. This morning, I added a very small amount of chocolate flavoring to it in order to give it a deeper "bass" note, and I loved the result. I'm currently working my way through 6 of the 7 single origin coffees that LCCCR offers. (The dark roast Sumatra is probably not my thing.) So far, I am enjoying all of their products. This Ethiopian is over-the-top!
