HOT COFFEE METHOD

Step 1
PREHEAT
Preheat your press by filling with boiling water.
Let set for two minutes, and then discard water.
Step 2
GRIND AND WEIGH
If grinding coffee, grind to the consistency of coarse sea salt.
If using pre-ground coffee, choose coarse grind.
Set French press on scale, tare scale, and pour 27 grams (per serving) of ground coffee into the press. -

Step 3
BREW
Clear scale. Set French press on scale and tare. Pour a bit of boiling water on the grounds and let set for 30 seconds.
Pour the remainder of 400 grams of boiling water into the press. Stir the water gently to ensure the beans are completely saturated.- TIP: Use filtered water to allow your coffee’s true flavor to shine through.

Remove press from the digital scale and use the plunger to slowly push grounds to the bottom of the press. All grounds must be submerged.
Brew for four minutes. Then gently move coffee beans around by slowly plunging for ten seconds. - TIP: Use filtered water to allow your coffee’s true flavor to shine through.

Step 4
ENJOY
Serve immediately.
Move additional coffee to another decanter to prevent over-extraction.
TIP: If you want to keep your coffee hotter in the cup, fill you mug with hot water while the coffee brews. Once the brewed coffee is ready, discard the hot water and pour the French brewed coffee into your pre-warmed mug. -
COLD BREW FRENCH PRESS METHOD

Step 1
GRIND AND WEIGH
Set French press on scale, tare scale, and pour 56 grams (per serving) of ground coffee into the press.
If grinding coffee, grind to the consistency of coarse sea salt.
If purchasing pre-ground coffee, select coarse grind. -

Step 2
ADD WATER
Clear scale. Set French press on scale and tare.

Step 3
STEEP
Place the French press in the refrigerator and let the coffee steep for 12 to 24 hours. A longer steep time results in a stronger, more robust flavor.
Brewing for more than 24 hours may result in bitter coffee.

Step 4
ENJOY
Serve in a tall glass over ice.
After pouring, store any additional coffee in a separate, refrigerated container for up to three days.
